Closing Plenary: From innovation to standardisation?

​How can new and innovative ideas be tried, tested and then evolve into safe, practical and standardised guidance?

 

Certain types of active travel infrastructure designs are being applied across the country with a high level of interpretation and variation. Does this give cause for concern – and if so, what is the solution? Do we need further national guidance?
